Transition is an expensive process for any transgender to go through. It involves several operations, medications and substantial time.  Allison is planning on Gender Reassignment Surgery and is in the process of raising the funds necessary for this operation and others that will help her on her journey.

The cost of transition is very expensive.  Here are a few examples of the costs that are involved in transition:

Gender Reassignment Surgery:  This is the single most expensive item in transition. The operation itself is approximately $20,000 and changes based upon the ever increasing costs of medical and hospital care. 

Airline Ticket to Thailand:  This varies with seasons (and typhoons) --- $7000.00 .  It is recommend to bring a friend to help you through the first two weeks of this surgery so the air fare is for two individuals.

Electrolysis:  This is hair removal and is currently running $80.00 per hour.  Allisons Electrolysis is estimated at 100-150 hours of facial hair removal

Facial Feminization Surgery:  This is anywhere from $8000 - $10,000 dependent upon the surgeries required.
